IMPACT: The Young Professional Influence

The Pick Group of Young Professionals is proud to host IMPACT 2017: The Young Professional Influence, an event on the evening of October 7, 2017 in celebration of young professionals who are making a difference in the greater Riverside area.

The event will feature keynote speaker and acclaimed retired professional cyclist, Phil Gaimon. Phil competed as a professional cyclist from 2009-2016, including two years in the WorldTour with Garmin-Sharp (2014) and Cannondale (2016). He is the author of Pro Cycling on $10 a Day (2014) and Ask a Pro (2016), an ordained minister, amateur comedian, podcaster, entrepreneur, Fondo host, and creative marketer. His recent online series, Worst Retirement Ever, chronicles his transition from a professional athlete to a civilian and cycling enthusiast.

This year, the Pick Group will honor three young professionals from the greater Riverside area who have significantly contributed to the betterment of the region through community, business, and civic means:

  • Community: Callie Neal, Riverside Unified School District Teacher and Heritage Plan Facilitator
  • Business: Ronaldo Fierro, Entrepreneur and Owner/Restauranteur of The Salted Pig and W. Wolfskill
  • Civic: Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes, State Legislator Representing the 60th Assembly District

The Pick Group is a volunteer organization of engaged young professionals that work to provide opportunities for other career-minded young professionals to connect socially, develop professionally, and engage civically for the betterment of Riverside.
