Stan and his family moved several times as a youngster. In a three-year period, he and his family moved nine times. In all of those new towns though, Stan’s mother made sure to enroll him into the local Boy Scouts troop. Because of his size, Stan was able to join high school and college early. This was just the motivation Ronald “Ron” Redfern needed to get into college and start looking at career paths.  Unfortunately, Ron’s efforts were dashed when the U.S. Government decided junior-colleges did not count and he was had to join the armed forces.  After three years in the Navy, Ron was able to go back to college and finish his degree.
